This spring, the McLennan Community College (MCC) Radiologic Technology Student Association partnered with our Breast Health Center to host Breast Cancer Awareness Education Days on the MCC campus. Through student-led education tables, awareness initiatives, and fundraising efforts, these future healthcare professionals worked to educate the community on the importance of early detection, mammography, recognizing the signs, and supporting those impacted by breast cancer.
As part of their campaign, MCC students sold Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts and raised funds to give back locally through our Pink Partner Fund.
Ascension Providence Foundation’s Pink Partner Fund helps support un- or under-insured patients by providing funding to perform life-saving breast cancer screenings in our community.
We are so thankful to the MCC Radiologic Technology Student Association, faculty, students, and everyone who supported this initiative. Your passion for education, advocacy, and compassionate care is already making an impact far beyond the classroom.
Together, we can continue supporting breast health awareness and providing hope and assistance to patients across Central Texas.
Thank you, MCC, for going PINK this spring and making a lasting difference in our community!
