Providence Foundation

We are thankful for each community partner who joins in our mission by supporting our events – whether through a sponsorship, volunteering, or attending. Proceeds from each event benefit Ascension Providence’s mission of serving all persons within Central Texas through spiritually-centered, holistic care. Through your support, we are able to advance medical technology and equipment, to bring care close to home.

Providence Foundation Gala
Featuring – Earth, Wind and Fire

Ascension Providence has seen a significant increase in the number of COVID-19 positive patients requiring hospitalization and intensive care. The Delta variant is the most contagious strain we have seen yet.

Ascension Providence is closely monitoring COVID‐19 developments and U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance, while working in partnership every day with our local and state health departments. With an abundance of caution and discernment, our Ascension Providence and Ascension Texas leaders, along with our Foundation board chairman and Gala co-chairs, have decided it is in the best interest of our community that we not proceed with hosting the Providence Foundation Gala on September 18, 2021.

In the upcoming weeks we will update this website regarding future plans for the event. We appreciate your patience as we discern and evaluate.

As a non-profit healthcare system, our top priority remains the health and safety of our patients, associates, volunteers, visitors, and ultimately, our community. While we had hoped to finally gather in-person at this event, the current COVID-19 surge and strain on the healthcare system in Texas will prevent us from recognizing and celebrating our caregivers and patients in person. Unfortunately, hosting the Gala at this time may jeopardize the very same people we are trying to help and support with the event.

We hope you, your family and loved ones stay safe during these challenging times. If you would like to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine, please visit

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support of our Foundation and our health ministry.
