As we kick off a new fiscal year, we’re excited to welcome Scott Rogers as the new Chair of the Ascension Providence Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
Scott has been a community banker in Waco for over 20 years, currently serving as Alliance Bank Central Texas’ president and chief lending officer. He also is a member of the bank’s board of directors, where he serves as secretary. He has strong community ties and is a proven leader with the ability to create innovative, customized solutions for complex situations.
Scott is dedicated to honing his skills and using his gifts to serve others, making a difference within the banking industry and throughout our community. He has been actively involved with Texas Banker’s Association (TBA) including three terms on the TBA board. He currently serves as a member of American Bankers Association’s (ABA) National BankPAC Committee, the national trade association’s political action committee. Additionally, Scott is a longtime Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce Total Resource Campaign volunteer, recently serving as the 2025 campaign chair. He also serves on boards for United Way Foundation and Vanguard College Preparatory School Foundation, and is a member of the Building Standards Commission for the City of Waco.
Scott joined the Ascension Providence Foundation Board in July 2019. He served as treasurer and chaired the Investment Committee before serving as the board’s vice chair and chair of the Grant Review Committee. You may have also seen him in the role of emcee at the annual Run for the Roses signature event. Scott’s wife, Erin, a former Ascension Providence employee, volunteers as well, serving as the event’s chair.
“Over the years, our family has received quality, compassionate care from Providence. At times we were scared, and sometimes we were overjoyed – like with the birth of our daughters. We always receive the expert, quality, compassionate healthcare that we’ve come to expect every time we walk through the hospital or clinic doors,” Scott says. “For those reasons, Erin and I choose to devote our time, talent and financial resources to the foundation to ensure more people can access that level of care, right here at home.”
Scott is a Waco native, growing up predominately in Temple, Texas where his father served as an oral surgeon. He is a 2005 Baylor University graduate, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in economics and finance and a minor in German. He and Erin have two daughters, Claire and Georgia Kate. They enjoy spending time as a family, especially making memories outdoors—from hiking in the Colorado mountains or riding bikes in the neighborhood, to grilling burgers or cheering on the Baylor Bears (Sic ‘em!), and everything in between.
Thank you to Scott for your longtime service with the Ascension Providence Foundation and stepping into this new role.
