Cardiology – Parks Flo-Lab SX2 | $38,145
This vital machine is used to perform Pulse Volume Recordings (PVR)—a non-invasive test that helps detect blocked arteries. These tests are crucial for identifying circulation issues and preventing potential limb loss. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve upgraded our current system with a new, more modern and reliable tool that not only delivers faster results, but also ensures better care for patients facing serious vascular conditions. It’s already playing a major role in limb salvage—and giving patients the best chance at recovery.
🚶 Safe Transports, Healthier Outcomes
Cardiovascular/Stepdown Unit – Philips IntelliVue X3 Transport Monitor | $17,655
Some of our most vulnerable patients need constant monitoring—even when moving throughout the hospital. This new portable monitor means they can now be safely and continuously observed while en route to tests or procedures. This is the first transport monitor dedicated to this unit and ensures that patients who need oxygen or specialized respiratory care receive seamless, uninterrupted attention, no matter where they are.
👶 Keeping Families Connected in the NICU
NICU – 4 Angel Eye Camera Systems | $20,535
Every NICU bed at Ascension Providence is now equipped with an Angel Eye Camera, thanks to you. These small but powerful devices provide 24/7 livestreaming access for parents who can’t be at the hospital. Whether they’re recovering themselves or balancing family responsibilities, moms and dads can now see their newborns anytime, from anywhere. It eases anxiety, strengthens bonds, and allows nurses to share precious milestones in real time—all with the tap of a screen.
💉 Gentler IVs, Greater Comfort
Outpatient Infusion Services – BD Prevue II Ultrasound System | $10,730
For patients needing frequent infusions, IV placement can be a source of pain and stress. This state-of-the-art ultrasound tool allows our nurses to find veins more easily and insert IVs with precision, reducing the number of pokes and increasing patient comfort. It’s especially important for those with damaged veins or difficult access—your support is making those visits a little less scary.
🛏️ A Warm Touch Before and After Surgery
Surgical Services – 4 Blanket Warmers | $42,960.81
It may seem small, but a warm blanket can bring incredible comfort to a patient preparing for—or recovering from—surgery. These new blanket warmers help ease pre-operative anxiety, ensure a more comfortable recovery, and can now serve all of our patients in this department. Warmth brings peace, and peace supports healing.
🦵 Faster Testing, Quicker Care for Vascular Patients
AMG General & Vascular Surgery – Parks Flo-Lab ABI Machine | $33,305
Peripheral Artery Disease is common in our community, and routine monitoring is essential to avoid serious complications like limb amputation. This Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) machine allows us to perform more tests, more efficiently—reducing wait times and helping patients get the care they need sooner. With two machines now available, our team can keep up with growing demand and ensure timely diagnosis and treatment.
