During Dinner with the President featuring Ascension Providence Foundation’s (APF) annual Grant Ceremony, 6 grants totaling more than $163,000 were awarded to the following departments and clinic: Surgery, Cardiovascular Stepdown, AMG Providence General Surgery, Cardiology, NICU, and Outpatient Infusion Services. Thanks to our donors, Ascension Providence continues to enhance patient care and ensure our clinicians have access to the latest advanced technology.
Additionally, in appreciation for a generous donor, the Cranial Solutions has been purchased for the Globus Excelsius3D spinal robotic/navigation technology! This addition expands the capabilities of the Globus Robot that was purchased in January.
This cranial robotic navigation system is designed to assist surgeons in cranial procedures by guiding instruments during procedures from common biopsies and shunt procedures to deep brain stimulation. It streamlines the workflow, reduces time in the operating room, lowers radiation exposure, and improves accuracy and safety by eliminating the need for a stereotactic arc and frame.
This over $347,000 gift for the Cranial Solutions was given by a devoted friend of Ascension Providence, in thankfulness for the Resurrection and Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, and in loving memory of her husband, humbly, a good samaritan, known to the Lord.
